To continue with the rudder, as I had to dismount for a construction error,I wanted to fix it.
I found a new material, that is me being very helpful in filling the gaps between trainers cardboard.
Flower dry sponge.
Used to prick dried or artificial flowers.
Easy to find in flower shops and supermarkets, among the pots and artificial flowers.
Inexpensive and versatile
easy to cut with a long knife.
Enough elastic and resistant to pressure.
And it don't turns to dust as it seems.
I concluded that making the moving parts of the ailerons and flaps is a difficulty that I will save in future models.
It has to cover the piece with the pin in it's positions, and mounted in place.
The issue is not definitive, I prefer to tweak later and put all the pieces fragile and small at the end.
with the final art of antennas and cables.

Using the green flower foam to fill in voids is a brilliant idea! I have to say though, as an architecture student many years ago, we would use that stuff in our studio models to simulate trees, hedges, etc. Chopping that stuff up left a mess everywhere, and it got into everything; your hair, your model, your neighbors model (and I'm sure breathing it wasn't good for the health either). But it's a great idea in this application....

I lack polish, antennas and so on, but I will later.
And I start with the boat side of my plane.

My bomber has no bomb-bays!!!!!.
Which kind of bomber is it?.
Unacceptable.
Infected by the virus PBJ-1H, choose the scratch way.
Seeking among the 217 photos I have ,and find information in three of this.
Anyone have pictures of the discharge doors of a CL 215?

Cut doors; add a little thickness to simulate the interior and beams inside.
I leave the doors to later, I choose to go with the fuselage that I have it cutted.

Well, I'm with the right side of the plane.
Technical point:
Never have asked, as 5500 litres fill (about 1500 U.S. Gallons) in 12 seconds?
It is necessary to expel all the air inside very quickly, and at time to empty the tanks that fall within the same speed.
This plane has a square hole where it enters and leaves the air of the water tanks.

Hands to work, take a few measurements, watch some pictures, I see that has a metal grille.

I put weight on the tip,old coins, pesetas.
When the train is a tricycle, I always put weight on the nose.

Looks great B! It's always fun finding out the little details on the real thing then incorporating them in your model. 1500 gallons in 12 seconds?! That's a lot of air displaced rather quickly.

Are you estimating at the amount of nose weight to include, or has Orlik indicated an amount in the instructions? I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure the instructions with my Orlik kit are silent on this point (assuming I can decipher the Polish).
