Canadair CL 215 ORLIK "Scooper" or "Botijo"ORLIK 1:33

Hi buddies, simply I can’t follow all the the treats.
This is the centre of the paper galaxy.
Always it’s a pleasure share my job here.
In my country the pilots named this aeroplane BOTIJO.
(hard to translate)

The Canadair CL-215 ("Scooper") was the first model in a series of firefighting flying boat amphibious aircraft built by Canadair and later Bombardier. The CL-215 is a twin-engine, high-wing aircraft designed to operate well at low speed and in gust-loading circumstances, as are found over forest fires. It is also able to land and take off from short, unpaved airstrips.

Arising from an earlier 1960s research study at the company, the original concept was for a twin-engined floatplane transport, that was altered into a "firefighter" as a result of a request by forestry officials in the Quebec Service Aérien (Quebec Government Air Service) for a more effective way of delivering water to forest fires. The preliminary design, the CL-204 was a purpose-designed water bomber that evolved into an amphibian flying boat configuration, powered by two 2,100 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2800 piston engines, shoulder-mounted. The definitive design known as the CL-215 received a program go-ahead in February 1966 with its maiden flight on 23 October 1967. The first delivery was to the French civil protection agency (Sécurité Civile) in June 1969. Production of CL-215s progressed through 5 series ending in 1990.

All my respect and admiration for those who exceed the ancestral fear of humans to fire and risk their lives to save the forest heritage.

Buy the kit and laser frames to Orlik's on-line store.
Good idea, 6 DIN A3 Laser frames!!
Good printing and paper.
It is treated with a layer of white glue / water 1:1, to get a little shine.

I've been working on some days, when you can publish more progress soon.

Great start on (yet another) large Orlik kit! I will be watching with great interest....

And thanks for the history on these important fire fighting aircraft.

Hi Mike, I have a friend building the other B 25 Orlik.
Simply annex more of my progress.
From now everything fits well.
The only criticism is that the designer would put the cockpit of a Canadair 415 (all digital),in a Canadair 215 (watches, carburetors) really odd.
But I can't change the whole center console.:(

Someone can explain me how can I edit my first post to correct spelling?

I believe botijo can be translated as "jug", btw...

Will follow your thread!

Thank you very much for your words.
If Don't put something ,I'm going to page 2!
There are many reasons to build things on paper.
For me the subject is important.
Once the centre console was not at all satisfied with the outcome.
It is the addition of CL 415 and has no discharge lever.
When attacking the fire to discharge the water pull the red lever in 1 second discharge more than 5000 litres.
And I made a little scratch.:D
Then I had to align with the centre console.

After borrows the Pitts Special belts ,they fits very well in the Cl 215 seats.
That's all for now.
I had to laminate the roof of the cab and the shaft of the front landing gear.
And I bought the laser-cut parts:(

Bati,
It's looking great! Amazing how you succeed in reachin' such a clean result at that small size! Are you using an amplifier to work?
I am impatient to see the model grow...

Warm regards,

you want to see more?

I finished all the interior furnishing.
For my taste, lacks some detail.
And I have not really seen any pictures of the chairs in real aircraft.
