Fg champion/bellanca citabria

It's a very hot afternoon late in August as the pilot arrives on the flight line and swings open the door of his Bellanca Citabria.

As the heat of the day escapes from the cockpit he places his flight bag with pilot log, charts and maps on the back seat, reaches across the seat,

and opens the window on the other side of the cockpit.

He now walks around the aircraft and prepares for the preflight inspection.

Then decides to go get a cold drink while the cockpit cools off.

This is one reason I really like the FG Aircraft. Most are really easy to build and yet with a little effort and some imagination you can come up with some really fun modifications to dress them up.

After I finished this one, I finally figured out a way to do the over head window. That will have to wait for the next build.

That is a very creative approach to model building. You should mount it on a small section of simulated tarmac with the story you gave us here.

You could also use some simulated grass from the model RR section of the local hobby shop.Little airplanes like that just look better on a grass airstrip.

Great detailing! I too like FG models for the same reason. A little bit of detail really makes the model shine.

I desided the Citabria was hangered, thus no tarmac, tiedown, etc:D

I found this one out on a grass strip

THE AERONCA C-3, "THE FLYING BATHTUB."

Not very encouraging if you need a crash pad
