Republic XF-12 Rainbow

I am looking for drawings of the Republic XF-12 Rainbow which include panel lines. I know there are some out there somewhere, but I just haven't found them yet. Someone here knows where to look, I'm sure. Any pointers to references online or in print would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This one's going to be tough, Avery. Here's link with 2 three-views and a bunch of detail photos, including a color shot:

Thanks. The area I'm struggling with is the panel lines. It'd be much easier if I had drawings. If I don't find some, I'll just have to wing it (*ahem*) and work from photos. Thanks for link, every little bit helps...

You're welcome. I'd love to build this once you've got it done. I'll bet it would look great printed out in "natural metal" on Red River paper.

I think so! It's so close, just need to figure out those panel lines. I've sent off e-mails to a bunch of places, including the Smithsonian (long shot) and Anigrand Productions (not so long shot?) hoping to get a lead on some good drawings. We'll see...

Are you trying to design one? If so, drop me an email and I'll send you a Sketchup file to finish... if you want. I also have photo references I can send, if you're patient enough. It's on my list of halfway completed projects that I don't have enough time for while trying to finish a CFI checkride.

I've actually gotten more done than in this screenshot.

It looks much like the Bristol Brabazon from Micromodels as well.
