Finally finished!

It is an intriguing plane. So primitive, yet pilots took to the air in them to scot and do battle.
I'd recommend this model to anyone looking to build a DH-2. Even without any fancy-schmancy detailing it will still build in to a nice model.

What a masterpiece of a build, and what brave airmen would go to war in such a "kite" as this. One reflects as we approach Veterans Day.

What a great job! I do love these flimsy looking early aircraft!

Joe, John, Jim,
Just remember - for their time these aircraft were the highest of high-tech. Look at the "kite" again and think carbon-fiber-nanotube-composite instead of wood and organic-polymer-composite-sheet for dope saturated cotton/linen cloth. The insane looking rigging carefully matched inflight stress pathways. The aircraft were strong enough to pull Gs and light enough to get airborne with the engines then available.

MAGNIFICENT! Outstanding work!

Yes, for all of it's primitive appearance it was the first dedicated fighter mount for a lot of Imperial pilots, including James McCudden, who remarked in his memoir about how drafty the cockpit was.
