Good luck with this one Mike, it looks like a nice "one-off" build!
Yeah, I have a "Evalina" just about finished (P-51 B/C) just sorting out some of the final touches, then I will be putting together all the necessary parts and pages and then it will be ready for a test build. I'm also working on a Luftwaffe captured P-51 aswell. Maybe put together a double package kit?...2 "POW" planes? I'll see how things progress first.

A further diversion from Evalina (sorry, Mike), but within the subject of captured and interned P-51s: the Swedish Flygvapnet also obtained their first Mustangs as interned aircraft.
I served in Korea in the 1970s with Swedish Flygvapnet Colonel Klerren Nilsson who flew those aircraft, and was also one of the Swedish pilots who flew the first Mustangs purchased from the United States. I have photos of one of the interned Mustangs that Klerren flew: P-51B serial 43-6365 (GQ-J) nicknamed Z-Hub and flown into Sweden by 1st Lieutenant Eldon E. Posey of the 354th Fighter Group, 355th Fighter Squadron. It was flown as 26001 (White D) by Flygflottilj F-16 until 1952. Don |

Don,
No problem at all. I love the fact that we are not only building models but also learning history of those aircraft.

Hope the Mustang turns out good...can't wait to see it.
On the same topic, the first of my "unusual" Mustangs is ready, watch the "Kit Announcements" for more info.

Cockpit in place, pilot seat will be the next step.
Unfortunately, pilot does not fit into the cockpit - tub is to shallow for his legs to slide under the instrument panel :(

Working on the cockpit.
Tomorrow I should be able to put both segments together and do the canopy.
