Many thanks for sharing the Hester illustrated envelopes with us. The flaming Ki-49 is a particularly good one in terms of the quality of the sketch and its reflection of the times -- meaningful to me as a once-little kid who's Dad was in the Pacific in 1944-45.

Just an idea: the 8th AF Museum outside Savannah has a powerful POW display. This collection would be a striking counterpoint.
