Mikoyan Gulevich MiGs-17
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
This airplane was once flied by a famous Vietnamese ace, Colonel Tom, North Vietnamese Air Force. He shot many American aircrafts during the Vietnam war then Lt. Randall H.Cunningham, U.S. Navy, made a historic air combat victory over this famous ace. However, this historic story is still on some display of an American air museum. Yes, with respect to his corage so I made this airplane for his historic aircraft |

Cool!
Interesting and unusual. North Vietnamese pilots are not remembered in our history books :o but they were pretty good, considering that they had to deal with limited technology. MiG-17s fought the F4 Phantoms, right? |

Given the rules of engagement that the USAF/USN/USMC pilots were saddled with, it is not too suprising that Mig 17's in competent hands had a fairly good record. Had the the Phantom been equipped with the 20mm Vulcan from the git-go it might have been a different story. It is a fact that the North Vietnamese Airforce remained on the ground when the F-104C's armed with cannon and sidewinders were in their airspace.
