Sorry to have gotten your thread a little off-task, Wayne. Your B-10 is looking really fantastic!

Well, to blend the two topics, I used stick and tissue plans I found on the internet to develop the model of the B-10 for FG.

I'm calling it done
The landing gear proved to be easier than I thought. I was able to form the paper around some 1/16" wire which gave it a 3-d look. The antenna mast is also heavy wire, with the antenna itself being elastic thread. The pitot is thin wire, and the prop hubs are rolled paper cylinders painted steel. This has been a lot of fun and despite some problems, mostly self inflicted,I really enjoyed building this. Great job and thank you to Aaron Murphy and Fiddlers Green.

Great build!!
Believe it or else I remember seeing one of these when I was a very young lad in Fairbanks, Ak. Sound strange. Not really, I use to watch B-17s and B-25s fly by on their way to bomb out in the woods (fire retardant). Thanks tons for sharing this with us...believe I'll go order me a copy. |
