Great build!
And as Will mentioned I envy you for having understanding wife. My wife wouldn’t accept her destiny to live with my building paper model. |

I wish my wife even cared slightly about planes or models. She just sighs and walks away. Build is just amazing though Gerardo. |

Wow friends! I want to thank you all for following my building report. I hope not to dissapoint you.
@ Ken... yes, Halinski is known to be hard... but if you sit, take time, put some good music... you are done. @ willygoat... yeah, I would like to compare this kit also to your Fly Model... and also the GPM model. thanks for the kind words. @ paperwarrior... roger man! @cmdr199212... keep it up, my friend! @papercut... thanks for the words... yeah, Halinski is worth the hassle. @Will... The secret was to take her to the annual Air show. We lived in Juarez, Mexico, just a stone throw from El Paso, Texas; and the Nighthawk was there for us. She really loved this plane from day 1. @Flying Rasta... thanks man! @YuG... I have to say I´m lucky for that. She even support me on the club, shows, events, forums, and contests. @David... gracias por acompañarme en esta aventura, mi amigo. @Pahorace... I definitevely will use your references, Grazie!! @ tazman... wait to see what´s next. I really hope to do a good job on this one. |

Enough saying... pictures...
Here are the pieces that will make one landing gear. The "B" piece will make the leg, on the right a piece of alumminum foil to make up the shock absorber. |

First of all, I get the piece of the leg rounded by passing a rod on the paper in my hand.
Once the paper is "tamed", I make the roll using a pin (a T pin in this case). I keep on rolling, until I finish with the little pieces that make up the details of the landing gear leg, including the one where the shock absorver will be. Now here comes a little trick... Halinski says to put the metal piece that goes inside the leg, and pass it thru the middle of the leg at the end. This is not possible unless you cut a canal on the leg, as shown. If not, the metal rod inside the leg cannot be placed to install the wheel. And here is the metal rod that goes inside the leg, with the curve for the wheel in the cut we made in the leg. We close the "wound" with a piece of paper. And we install the shock absorber with the piece of alumminum foil. |

Next comes the pieces that make the actuator. And here is the piece completely closed. And here the other part of the actuator. |
