I figured I'd have to but it turned out not to be needed as the struts were pretty solid once glued to the bottom wing. I just sat both wings opposite each other resting on one edge and coaxed all the strut tops into pre-drilled holes in the top wing. Once I had them all in place I used a tootpick to wick some thin CA into the joints.

Control surfaces and motor
Hi all! Vying for the prize of longest build hiatus here at 10+ years! Luckily everything with the Flyer survived and I intend to finish it before moving to something new.
Here we have the forward stabilizer, rudder, and the motor. |

Well I'll go out on a limb here and say that your position is secure . Glad your WIP model survived intact. Work looks good too.

Absolutely beautiful model, I am considering this model but the Schreiber version which, although not as complicated, it is a good model and a little more simple to make. But your rendition is a museum piece. And yes, more than 10 years wait to finish the model perhaps can go to Guinness records.

Finally, some more progress. Most of the motor and propulsion bits mounted, plus the port side main frame
