The Lindburghs Lockheed Sirius, by FG

A vacation flight with "no start or finish, no diplomatic or commercial significance, and no records to be sought."

This is how, Lucky Lindy described the flight that he and his wife, Anne Morrow Lindburgh, was planning to make to the Orient in 1931. This was not quite true, however. There WAS a purpose and that was to scout the great circle course for the fastest route from New York to Japan for use in commercial air routes. This is their airplane, and they called it "Tingmissartoq' Eskimo for: "The one who flies like a big BIRD"

Hey it really looks better hanging up.:D

Gregor, I've been using Testors plastic glue. Seems to work well. Truly haven't found anything that works better. Willing to try anything if anyone has suggestions.

You are fast and good, Bob! I just got the email from Chip today announcing this model. It's a beauty!

The version with wheels was Scorchy Smith's airplane.

Hey Chris, It's the regular size. I usually build the regular size first, less paper and ink if I mess it up.:D Plus I got this one early and the Large wasn't finished yet. Chip wanted a picture of the model for the Sirius page.
