I was finally able to spend one quality evening with the P-40B so here is a little update - plane received 12 exhaust pipes for the Allison engine and 50 cal fuselage guns.

I wouldn't pay much mind about the OD being a bit light. Back then, planes were painted with nitrocellulose laquer, and it only took a year or so in the sun to really start fading. Even modern finishes show that tendency. We've got an OD C-46 out on the line, that's faded so much, it's more like khaki by now. (It's waiting it's turn in the paint queue).

David,
Thanks. True credit goes to designers and modelers who build them. Time for another update. Plane received fillets around the tail - they are divide into four parts and it is a good thing since they have to be shaped rather extensively. I'm pretty happy with the result - discoloration on the leading edge is my clumsiness.... Framework for the wing is, as you can see rather extensive. There was a lot of 1mm cardboard cutting involved but everything fits as it should. I couldn't resist dryfitting the framework to the fuselage just to get the feel for the plane - I always loved the P-40... Last photo shows rather impatient pilot demanding faster progress with the build from an army guy. Crew promissed extra hours next weekend :D

Looks really good Mike! When will it be available to the rest of us? (Rough guess...)

Model will be available as soon as I finish building it. Can't give a date - my "building" time is very limited lately but I'm trying to push it as much as I possibly can...

I have been good lately so got an extra few hours from my better half to cut some paper :D
This stage was a bit tricky, but everything went well. Don't know how Lukasz intended for this to be assembled but I figured that it will be easier to allign the skins if I start with the top half and it seems that that was the correct way to skin the wings.
