It's available from Fiddler's Green, but its my design, thanks for calling it a gem, although it's really compliments to Sikorsky, unfortunately the instructions are not quite complete, so I made a plane with photo steps along the way on fg forums

It is really a super job all around on this one. Where/how did you get reference material for this one?...like plans and such? I like it a lot.

I just scratch built from a 3-view, and tweaked it to match old photos, not a very high-tech method, but fun, I have background in art and sculpture

thank you guys for the kind comments, it is a fun build, the engines have individual cylinders, but my exhaust system never did get up on the site. I think a talented builder like you guys could add some extras and make this one special. the design method is how I did the Beech Staggerwing as well, but I had access to a plane.

This airplane is a real treasure. I have all the FG versions of the S-38 and S-39 and hope to actually build them.

I'm delighted that you have designed these Golden Age beauties, Glen. I'd be satisfied with just them, but can't help but wonder if the S-40 (http://www.panamair.org/OLDSITE/Airc...ikorskys40.htm) and S-42 (http://www.panamair.org/OLDSITE/Airc...ikorskys42.htm ) are in the works.

thank you, I have had so much fun doing them. The photo build I did on fg forums may make doing the S-38 significantly simpler to build, neither Chip nor I did the instructions for the S-38 and they are not really very complete.

I really do love the Clipper fleet, from sikorsky to boeing, but especially the Martin. But am looking at a twin, The S-43 would be cool, alot of howard hughes history with that, including a near fatal accident, but decided on the Grumman 21A, and am well into the Goose, I love its lines and durable useful service record.
