Wonderful to see progress on this project! It looks so nice, and the disk "props" work really well!

USS Macon Airship Model

Getter 1,

It was really nice to see how well you completed your fine build of the USS Macon airship! And it is nice to see an airship model again - they are rather scarce as modeling subjects these days. The Curtiss biplanes are incredibly well done in this minute scale.

Well done and thanks for sharing the text and detailed photos!

Just in case anyone is still interested in this model: I have come across two original copies (printed on aluminium paper). Will be on my website - Zeist Bouwplaten - Import, verkoop, ontwerp en productie van papieren schaalmodellen, maquettes en bouwplaten (cardmodels), Modelbouw, Rietveld cutoutmodels presently. Also two Hindenburgs by the same designer (John Hathaway,ca. 1975)

Been ages since I posted or even visited the forums.
Lately I've been trying to revisit old builds and get them finished.

I attached the final detail parts to the Macon and originally thought of hanging it from the ceiling.
I changed my mind and decided to make a stand for it instead.
Still need to cut out the rear stand leg to make it more decorative.

Sorry for the poor pictures.

G1
