Yes. Or perhaps the Australian military version can be recolored in one of the many civilian versions (I guess the Air America version doesn't count as truly civilian).

In any event, I'd like to try my hand at one -- will any of these versions be made available nebeltex?

Don

well,
the bad news is that it won't be available "commercially" for a long time, if ever! the good news is we'll offer it for free. re-coloring has delayed the release some. the Air America version has a different turbo-prop engine. as mentioned, these earlier versions have a different forward fuselage and exhaust system. the Aussie version is for the 173rd surveillance squadron, around the early '90s....

I'm delighted to hear that it will be available! Thank you very much. My "commercial" comment was a clumsy way to indicate that I would be happy to pay for such a nice model.

What scale is it?

Don

http://www.papertigerarmaments.com/TurboPorter.html

the Australian version is ready at the link above.

i really like this one. i wanted to do this aircraft for a number of reasons. a Ms. J. Porter for one...lol! i'm fascinated by STOL aircraft and their various missions according to capability. this version has an interesting camouflage scheme. sharks teeth too, how cool is that? another reason is that we have been linked to a site called "artists helping children". apparently, arts and crafts, including paper models, is good therapy for sick kids. i was not really comfortable with the previous free aircraft from our site, a suicide aircraft (Ki 115), being their focus of distraction....

cheers, c.b.

The new issue of Air Classics has a nice little article on the Porter.
