Aces of Ecardmodels Series Spad XIII

Hi guys

Chris has so kindly provided me with a copy of of his Aces Series Spad XIII in 1-33. This is one of 'Der Kampflieger's' creations that has been nicely re-painted in a very beautiful way by Small paper Things. I haven't built too many models by anyone other than Marek and a handful of published, printed Polish kits so I'm not really used to his methods. I haven't come that far so I can't say one way or the other yet but so far so good! My printer didn't pick up all the gorgeous textures like I would have liked. Perhaps its the paper I'm using. Maybe lessening the ink output will help a bit....At any rate this looks to be a fun build of an aircraft that was flown by one of the best balloon busters of the time...Lt. Frank Luke! Here are a few pics of a couple pages and my meager beginnings.

See you soon!
Ron

Thanks for the encouragement guys!
I got the last couple pieces added to the front end and got snap happy with the camera. I just wanted to show how nicely this thing fits together! The last pic gives you an idea of what the fuselage shape is like. It's a speedy lookin' thing!
Kampflieger has this down to an art as there has yet to be a former inserted. I'm hanging up the tools for today to let this dry properly. I need to paint the inside of the front end and doing it now will end up in a disaster
Anyways..I'm done blabbing now

"Night all

We just never can have too many SPADs! Especially your builds of Roman's models, Ron.

Wow! This is some beautiful bird. Both the graphics and design are first rate, and the build thus far is flawless.
