Albatross test build.......
Barry recently asked me, among others, to do a test build of his Grumman Albatross and the attached pictures show the result. This was a fun build and brought back memories of living near Coast Guard Air Station Salem, MA and seeing these aircraft flying over my house almost daily. I lived under the approach and departure flight path - tough job but someone had to do it. When Barry releases this kit, give it a try. It builds into a very nice example of an under represented aircraft. Thank you Barry for allowing me to participate in your project.
Later, Fred Z.

That looks great Fred! I will have to wait a couple more weeks to get to spring break so I can do my build. Yours turned out great. Kudos to you and to Barry for designing a nice model. Hope mine is as nice :D

Barry, I saw Willygoat's comment in the Ju-88 thread about building this and it reminded me to look it up. I see by re-reading the previous posts that he was one of your test builders. I don't normally do this (and please don't start adding "me-toos" guys!), but have to ask, are you any closer to a general release yet? I've been trying to get the Monogram p*****c version for years, but either couldn't afford it, or got outbid on eBay.
Thanks, Scott K. |
