Ron,
Any chance that this modified 1/33 version (printing on 8.5x11 paper) will be available as well?
There is only very few people that have wide format printers at home and I would rather print it myself since usually I need two sets of parts to build any kit :o

It depends on what Billy has managed to do with
the re arranged parts to fit on letter size card stock.
I have not seen his version of the changes. The
1:44th and 1:48th scale versions will fit on card
stock that most printers will accept. The 1:44th
scale is 20" in length and 28" wingspan. The 1:48th
scale will be about an or so smaller. The 1:33rd
scale will have a length of 28" and somewhere
around 36 to 38" wingspan...Ron

When you do make this available, where will it be, and do you have an idea of the cost? I'm planning a research and repaint project - my wife's mother's husband (or more simply, one of my soon-to-be-born son's 3 grandfathers) has a picture of his father from WWII where he was a waist gunner in a B-17. All I have is a copy of the photo and the names of the crew. I'm sure it will take some digging but I'd like to find out the markings of this plane and build him a model of it, and currently my options are an FG model, scanning one of many printed kits, or this upcoming model. I'm hoping this upcoming model will be the one.

It is to early to project a release date. The beta builds
will determine any changes that need to be made to
the respective model scales. The model is also lacking
adequate Illustrations and Instructions which I have no
expertize in. If someone is willing to help out in that
department I will supply them with a printed model for
reference material and building purposes. If anyone
has those capabilities PM me and we can work something
out.......Ron

Hi Ron, I understand that the date is still up in the air, depending on the beta build and the time they take, plus mods, etc. I was more interested in how you plan to release if you've thought about it - will you sell it privately, on Ecardmodels, another site? And do you have a ballpark idea of your cost? FG gets $16 USD for their B-17 kit with multiple liveries, and I've seen printed kits depending on scale, age, rarity, etc. going for anywhere between 9 and 20 Euros. Digital bomber kits in 1:48ish scale on Ecardmodels tend to go for the $3-10 range. Or you could be incredibly generous and provide it free in our downloads section, but it would be a shame not to recover something for what sounds like a lot of work put into this.

cmags,
All this is speculation and nothing has been decided on. So
there is no need to continue with what ifs. Ron

No problem Ron. Was just asking *if* you had decided on any of it - guess the answer is "No." I look forward to seeing the test builds and the production model when available.
