Texman,
I would say doing this model at 1:144th scale would be a real
challenge. The engine parts alone would require an electron
microscope....Ron

I'll see what I can do, for now I'm discoloring the parts that had the silver ink on it, so the model can be printed on normal paper( or metallic )
But the different liveries you had to paint yourself, it must be pretty easy to add the color.

Wow!!! great build. The ford trimotor has a great history here in northwest ohio. The port clinton airport ran a service to put-in-bay. It was called the tin goose. I will have to dig thru some old family photos. The tin goose was my very first airplane ride. I will be looking for this as my next winter project.

Billy.
I tried decolorizing sheet one and the only way I could remove all the
color was to erase all the color by hand. I also had to redraw all the
lines using the old lines by hand. This works but is labor intensive but
could be done. Really what is needed is a basic line drawing. In windows
paint I tried coloring in the uncolored area I had just done and the results
were not good so I assume the basic line drawing would need layering
for the paint or coloring at least using the jpeg format you sent me...Ron

Tri-Motor

Billy,
This is to clarify what the problems with the removal of color is with the
jpeg formatted sheet you sent. I hope you are having better results on
your color removal. This way is quite labor intensive as I said previously.

Ron

OK, guys, it's done , here it is;
The scans of the Trimotor
https://public.me.com/billy.leliveld
With the permission of Peter Zorn.
The parts can be printed "shrink to fit " for A4 and american letter, if you want to have the original size, print the parts at 50 % , but you'll need an A3 printer
If some body wants to look at the following; the scans are pretty big, so if you know a way to compress them with the same quality, please let me know
You can double-click on the file to download, and the file automatically turns into a zip-file
Peter Zorn added the colored parts himself, I didn't check the scale but it's not that hard to figure out...

Wow!! Top effort and so generous both on the part of peter Zorn for freeing up the IP and Billy and Ron for their conversion work...at 263Mb unzipped I'll have to wait til I get someplace with a bigger (or free) broadband cap as we can only get Mobile data here and that's a good chunk of our monthly cap...

Still, what a great Christmas gift for the paper modelling community!!!
