Thanks guys.... Welllllllllllllll, i managed to get the Engine Pylon formers laminated today - i have been drying the skin inbetween each part so as not to get any mess on the parts. Can't do this for the shins because the handling time would ruin the paper for sure - internal structures seem ok to do even with this skin problem. I will cut out the parts and put them together soon. There's 44 parts to the pylons internal structures {all four engine assemblies}. Just one attachment to show the sheet of laminated parts. Not much - but at least it stopped me feeling useless

Peter,
I see you have let the modeling habit take over to do a
work around for your skin problem. Take care
and take it slow and easy. We will of course be
awaiting any further updates....Ron

Where there is a "will", there is a "way".

Hi guys. Here's where i am at now. I made all the nacelle pylon internal structures and added some extra pieces to these to make sure they kept straight and in-line when the skins were attached - also to keep them true to shape. The going is slow working between the leaking skin problem, but hey... i am doing what i can. Started work on one of the undercarriage legs - pictures of that later in the week. Hope you like the improvements made here {see attachments} More up-dates when i can.

Old Memory

Hey Peter, glad to see you taking on such a big project. I think you will enjoy this. I also have this in my pile. Looked at it, but havent started yet. Looking forward to your thread.

Included old picture of me on flight line in front of the B52. Had to rumage around for a long time to drag that one out. About April 1969 I think.

It's very enjoyable - I am making parts in a none systematic way with this, to avoid too much repetition. Many thanks for sharing that photograph with us {which one is YOU sir ? } - You LUCKY LUCKY guy{s} However... if i'd have taken the shot, i would have insisted you all move out of the way :D Thanks

Cheers mate. The Pylon {engine mount} from it's TIP to TAIL is 8 3/4" {220cm} in length, this is the OUTBOARD mount - the INBOARD mounts are a wee bit shorter. The TOTAL length of PYLON + NACELLE = 10 1/2" {265cm} Huge :D
