That's a relief! I was squinting and squinting, blaming these glasses of mine.
This topic came up over at Hyperscale and I found the list below posted by a gentleman there of the known aircraft losses in Lake Michigan based on accident records and deck logs from the USS Wolverine and Sable interesting: 41 TBM/TBF Avengers 1 F4U-1 Corsair (Birdcage- location identified) 38 SBD Dauntless (14 recovered so far) 4 F6F Hellcats (three recovered during war, last recovered this year) 17 SNJ Texans 2 SB2U Vindicators (1 recovered so far) 37 FM/F4F Wildcats (a bunch recovered so far) 3 TDN drones Lots of aviation gold down there.... The Dauntless that is being fulled from the water in these videos has been restored and is on display in the Kalamazoo Air Museum in Michigan. I'll see if I can dredge up (no pun intended) a picture of the restored aircraft.
Rick - thanks for fixing the link. Ken
