Keel plates and stern

Thanks Nothing

Made a right botch of numbering the plates but if you get the first 4 and the last 4 right you can stick anyone of the rest wherever you like. It's not a brilliant build so I overlapped the plates a few quick drips of superglue and some thick paint shoud make it look better. On to the hull sides.

(sorry having probs typing copied it)

Bow

Not my favourite part of a carrier it is actually a mess the deck is about a 1/32 to small which has thrown the starboard side at an angle to the deck which is off vertical. I should also have put another former under the bow where the vetical strip cuts in. Still it will be covered up when the catwalk deck goes on.

Did some damage to the stern have to rip it off and replace when I get the hullsides down that end just a bit big for me these days.

oooohhhh very clean I would say! the angles coming down at the corners look a little more angular than what i remember when we sailed together but it might just be my memory too

One side done

Overall the side needed to use 1/8 inch of the cheat overlaps so I am reasonably happy

gantry deck

A large waste of paper but it save chopping stepsin the cross members for the flight deck I was not quite so clever at the aft end and the catwalk is a bit narrow. If I ever release it I will have to do some more overlay checking in Photoshop.

if

As I read your comment on which pdf program was the best the "if" has receded made life a whole lot easier looks like it will work out ok now. The sponsons seem to be fitting ok and there is a sill to cope with covering the join of the boat insert.

Starboard sponsons and lift guides

Thanks Max

This side is quite awkward to build so many bits to figure out the order on.Still messing about with the 1/8th inch misfit not desperate but a nuisance while I fix it. The lift guides have to go in first to have something to align things on. When it becomes a kit I will have to put more info on the deck below the catwalks which should make it a whole lot easier. At least she is now the right way up. The object on top of the deck is the enlisted mens entryport. All the sponson parts are 140 gsm card.

It's the right way up this time Chris
