M18 Hellcat

Well. My Sketchup Hellcat model is nearing completion. Here's the scoop - This will be my first time actually releasing my own model, so I expect there to be some problems with parts. Also, I'm still deciding what scale to release it in, so I may be interested in a simultaneous 1/72 and 1/48 beta. It'd be nice if it was a fairly quick build - if possible.
Some pictures are attached.
I'm guessing that the beta build will be ready in a week or so.

For now I think so. I don't think I'm up to doing more than that! Also, I don't think that individual tracks would be feasible in 1/72. I do hope to make it hard to tell it's flat, though!

for my Mini Sherman, I built a flat one piece track using actual photos of a Tank track.
I created a small link section from the photos and reproduced it into an entire track and then overlaid it into the model design.

at a small scale, it works quite well, because the photo-realistic element hides the flat one dimensional reality.

I am hunting for the image file right now...would you like it?
just tell me what format

That's fine, I think I may have pulled every M-18 image that was usable off the web. There are actually at least two different types of Idler/Track combinations. I've chosen to go with one of them.
I'm almost done with all of the Sketchup work, next it goes to Inkscape for coloring and editing.

You should check with Don (boosed) on papermodelers, as he is close to an M-18 I believe at the army war college. I think that's where he and it are located. At the very least, he posted some pictures a while back of an M-18

Print it flat, print it again and cut out what would be the high sections and glue them onto the flat print. This should give a solid built up look and keep it simple.
