Actually I took the extra out of the top. So far so good. Thanks for asking Chris. They are coming to put in a new sewer line today I hope. We've had a wetter season than normal and needed to let the ground dry out a little bit so the ditch wouldn't cave in while they were working. So what happened yesterday? It rained again. I hate to complain about moisture because we usually need it around here but we can't wash clothes, dishes, or anything else without backing up the system.Hopefully we'll get back to normal SOON.

Well I'm not through with the nightmare yet but hopefully I can get back up tp speed by the end of the week.

Avery, Is there supposed to be anything to cover the white areas on the side parts 5b and 5c? I would assume that there should be some form of sliding door or did you have cutting them out and leaving them open in mind?

Yes, they are sliding doors and there are supposed to be parts covering the blank spaces, did I manage to forget those too?? I'll shoot you a new, corrected parts sheet with the doors this afternoon.

I was able to get a little done today. I added the sides, cargo doors, and front half of the hull. The sides were a little short. there is a 3/32 gap at the rear (the area between the black vertical lines in photo 3). I added a piece cut from a spare sheet to cover the area. The bottom of the hull pieces was a little short at the bow (photo 6). My base and deck may be thicker than intended but since they matched along the rest of the run I though I might mention it. I don't see anything to cover the triangular gap at the bow. I'll cut something from some extra parts that I printed out. I'll try to get the aft hull pieces on tomorrow.

Avery,
I am test-fitting the aft hull sections and there is a 3/32 gap at the stern of the ship too. The curvature of the parts match up to the formers, so extending the stern strip by 3/64 in each side should do the trick as it would for the upper sides of the cargo hold as well.

Avery,
I'm sorry that I got behind on this. I had some major dental work done over the course of the last month or so and the medications had me so goofed up that I couldn't get anything done on anything..I will get back to it as soon as I can...probably first part of next week.

Scott

Hi Scott, no problem my friend. Sorry to hear about your dental issues, those are really no fun. Hope you're feeling better and making a complete and quick recovery. Get back to the model when you're ready, absolutely no rush.
