Thor series

I need a few new kits beta-built. I am working on the whole Thor/Delta series in 1:48, starting with the straight Thor IRBM and Thor-Able, Thor-Agena and Thor-Ablestar. Right now, I need the Thor-Ablestar built. It's a simple kit, the most complicated parts are the small maneuvering motors, the rest is just cylinders of various sizes. Shouldn't take more than a few days to put together. Just three sheets of parts, maybe 40 individual parts total. It's big though! I will also need builders for the Thor-Able and Thor-Agena (and the IRBM too, but that's lower priority) so if you're interested let me know!

I just finished building a Thor, and liked it. I'll do one. Which ever you need, let me know.

Thanks Brett! I'll pass along the files for the Thor-Ablestar since that one is ready for building. The instructions are in PNG format as I haven't had the time yet to convert them to PDF but that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks again for doing this!

Okay. I need some help. I'm part way through Avery's Thor project, and I hit a printer induced snag that I can't figure out for the life of me. The model is 3 pages long. The way the pages are layed out, the content is just barely too large for my printer. So, I checked the shrink to fit printer. Well, pages 1 and 3 went to 95%, and the parts on those pages fit well together. But, page 2 went to 87%. WTF?!?! When I tried to join parts from page 2 to page 1, there was a huge problem obviously.

Thus, my dilemma. I've tried everything I can think of to change the scaling problem, but it stays at 95% and 87%. HELP!!!!

Picture Time!!!!
I thought I'd share some of the progress with all of you fine folks here at Ecardmodels. These are a few of the pictures from the build so far. As usual, Avery's parts fit is great! It sure makes my job easier.

The exhaust nozzle

Vernier motors- small and very hard for me

Main body section and ill-fitting former (printer problem, not Avery's design)

Interstage piece

More Printer related fit problems from parts page 2

Nose cone- the best I've ever done with petals

Vernier motor housing

Completed upper stage

General size of model- it's HUGE!!!!. note the small interstage (USAF script). That's the main section my printer screwed up

There you have it folks. As soon as I get the whole printer thing figured out I'll be rebuilding the interstage parts and the rest is sticking on little details bits.

i'm going to try to if I can figure out how to change the sizing issues. I might have to try and open it up in Photoshop on my wife's computer. I know in that I can chose the scaling.

Looks great Brett, let me know if you can't figure out the scaling issue and I'll see what I can do on my end.

Like I said above, I'm going to try opening it in Photoshop next. I will do that shortly. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Everything else has just been spot on!
