Rapid build spaceship.
Need some folks to test build this really simple trek style spaceship card model.
It's a really simple laminated construction that should only take 30 mins to build. The reason I'm asking here is because my card is only 120 gsm (thick paper really) so even though it built well, i'd like to know the opinions of others who can build it in thicker material. Wally award goes to the first person to use 2mm card. Good, bad, ugly? UppIT - Free File Sharing - layeredshipunfold.zip |

It is a very neat looking ship, and not a form often seen.
Wish my printer was cooperating, because I'd have a go at building this model. It is unique. Congratulations on a fine design Codex34, Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell. |

I doubled the thickness of my sheets by laminating them, took weeks to dry, not sure of the final weight, they are 0.4mm now. (360gsm?)
Results are pretty good, I have a thinner version but can't find it, (or the original sanded and painted model), there should be more of these models, they are fun and quick to build. The generic trek style ship isn't very interesting as a model, so I've posted a render of my next attempt with this style of modeling, can you tell what it is? Width of these models is about 2cm. |

Will have a go and see what it looks like my friend......... Best regards to you and yours, Tom.... |
