Wanted: a complete list of models in the download section
In chronological order, a simple text file, or maybe a csv with fields like name of file, description, size, date uploaded, name of uploader.
Is there anyway to get one? |

Anything is possible, but why?

the search feature online is entirely inadequate. the "latest files" list is only 8 files long, and I don't regularly check it, so I have no idea what the 9th-??? model is that was uploaded. since the last time I looked. Actually if you just made the "latest file" box scrollable through all 2000 files, that would be fine.
I thought a text list would be easier, and also searchable. |

All the relevant fields and values could be exported from the database in a .csv format. This can then be imported into Excel and other text editors. But most DB exports can be saved with many different file extensions types. But, I guess that function would have to be done via the DB Administrator of the Forum. A button could be added the Model Directory page, to run a small script to export the data and download the resulting file.

My hope was to just be able to search by designer and have a chronology

Here's a tab delimited text file for Julius Perdana. It's sorted so that the newest files come first. It's tab delimited due to upload restrictions.
This can be done for any keyword in Downloads. And it can be done using the forum search tool in downloads. Curt |

that would be any keyword except "" I want an ENTIRE list. Edit: actually the search won't work for any search string less than 3 characters. In fact, if ANY word in a search string is less than 3 characters, it won't do it. |

Getting the entire database at once would be convenient. While not especially convenient, a search done designer by designer will give most if most all of the database. And you don't need to wait for a moderator to get a "round tuit".
