US Army WW1 Type B truck

Once again one of the guys on the model car board came up with this link:

The Motor Truck v. 8 1917. - Full View | HathiTrust Digital Library | HathiTrust Digital Library

Has all kind of neat truck and tractor photos, articles, ads etc from 1917 with a 5 page article on the Type B standard military truck.

I have been considering doing another WW1 era truck.
I really enjoyed what I learned with the Autocar.
And I had planned some other Autocar Truck versions.

But the WW1 Horse Ambulance really peaked my interest.

And now, this!

Is someone already working on a paper model?

Whulsey, you are an "old Truck" fan...correct?
Anything on the Commer Car Trucks?

Specifically the 3 and 4 ton RC Chassis?

I want plans, photos of bare frames and chassis, detail photos, etc

Thanks for this wonderful resource, Wayne.

A model of the famous Liberty truck would certainly be appreciated, Dave.

"Liberty Truck" was the popular name for the Model (or Type) B Standard U.S. Army truck that Wayne provided the link to the article about (if you will excuse the contorted grammar).

oh okay.
Now I understand your post.
I looked through the entire book...which has articles on many different "Army" Trucks.

I was looking for info specifically about the Commer Car Trucks.

Sorry Dave, no real info on Commer. If you're looking at WW1 uses I don't think they were used much.
