With a bargain price of $500. Looks like it was published in 1825, I'd like to see it, not buy it, just look at it.

Be patient Rich, it's a big book and it can take a while to fully load in.

Ahh Haaa!!! Did not see that, just looked at the eBay ad. Very interesting. Just have to figure out how to save it so I can read it at my leisure.

Click on the gear icon at the upper right. Choose Download PDF to download a 175 page pdf.

Thank you for your help. Didn't even see that little gear icon on my iPad. Worked just as you said, thanks again.

interesting
It seems they(those who scanned it) placed blank pieces of paper over selected models
only about 5-7 pages have actual models on them, or parts of models

what a jip

I have noticed that when old books have foldouts, the scanners usually do not unfold them and scan them. Bound in folded plates and loose plates in folders bound into the book jacket, are carefully scanned in their folded up form, leaving their unfolded form a mystery.

Thanks for the link to the downloadable book. It looks like a great read all the way back from 1825!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

Try this link from the Internet Archive sponsored by the Getty Research Institute. All the plates are there. Scroll down for available download formats (or download them all) The SINGLE PAGE PROCESSED JP2 ZIP gives you nice JP2 images of the plates and other illustrations.
