Very cool. Interesting to see rubber band, compressed air, steam and gasoline engine powered planes. I have plans for a steam powered airplane from approximately that time somewhere.

Many thanks, John. An enjoyable read.

I believe that this book, or one very much like it was on the shelves of the Roland Park Junior High School in Baltimore. I remember reading a book about the "A-type" and other flying models around 1951, and the illustrations look familiar to me.
