I would love to get my hands on one of these models (preferably in black, if possible).

Nor are you the only one thinking that thought, my friend!
I too think Cami has produced a very nice series of models, all or any of which I'll be delighted to build.

Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.

Thank you, Cami. It's 1/33 scale. Like I said, the technique works quite well in large scales because you do not have to deform the paper as much. I would not even try this in 1/72 scale or 1/43. In that popular European scale (I used to build metal and plastic cars in 1/43 scale) I could only get the smallest amount of curvature without creasing the paper.

I have to admit, I'm not expert at searching out designs on the web;
but in 2 to 3 years of searching, I've only encountered one Tucker 1948 model apart from Cami's, and that design was both on a (now) known pirate site and an otherwise dead link. I don't recall seeing it since then.

Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.

Here is my latest prototype, the controversial Tucker convertible. Pics of the real car and history can be seen here:1948 Tucker 48 Convertible For Sale :: AutaBuy.com

I still have to work on the deck, and I expect to build a hardtop version. It is so sad Tucker went out of business so early!!!

Some things Cami didn't mention that I use quite a lot in my building, are very small knitting needles used for making socks. They are tapered at both ends, and are made on anodized aluminum, so they are very smooth. A four-pack only cost a few dollars. Great for making tight radii.
