Hi guys, here is a custom version with common fifties customizing touches including flames, pinstripes, '57 Dodge Lancer hubcaps, lake pipes and a chassis dropped by about 2 scale inches. It will be the first release of my new Custom Wheels Series.

Ooooh! Do I detect a Murc on the front of that 'Custom Wheels Series' stand Cami? Does this mean the turtle back Leadsleds and Hudsons are creeping nearer the top of your design list?

Luv the flame job and the sideys. Regretably an almost forgotten art form now, but I looks back fondly. Those were the days, eh? The only drugs we were interested in were Nitro and (proper original) Coke.

Well at least I'm still running a V8 ... but it's a wee 3.5 lt in a Range Rover.
'er indoors made me sell the old Jaguar.

Zoom, zoom, zoom .... Johnny.

You really make those vehicles come alive!. Is this going to be lead vehicle in another collector's edition similar in content to the '55 collector's edition? I have to say that I really enjoy the idea of the collector's edition. I prefer to purchase all of the vehicles at the same time in order to receive your special design. Worth the wait. I also wait for special edition DVDs instead of buying the theatrical release edition straight away.

I hope sales are justifying your effort. I do look forward to buying future vehicles.

I am glad you like the flame job guys, it has turned out better than what I had first expected. Now the priority goes to the '56 Chevy as I just realized dad's birthday is in 3 weeks from now! He was born in '56 and will turn...56!!!

Johnny, the car on the front of the stand is Bob Hirohata's Merc. The best Barris built custom ever, EVER. Chopped top, Buick side trim, frenched headlights, Cadillac hubcaps and Lincoln taillights have been gracefully married into a true piece of art that immediately became a custom car icon. It was higlhly inspired by the very clean '40 Merc custom of Nick Mantraga, also built by Barris if I am correct. I Love the '49-'51 Mercury, but there are not my list for the upcoming year. The Hudsons are though!

Charles, the "Custom Wheels Series" model should come by the piece once in a while and are not intended to be exclusive to collector's edition packages. Some collector's edition exclusive might be customs or street rods though, but I prefer the historical cars for that purpose. I am happy to have a feedback about that collector's edition idea.I expect to make them a standard offer in the "Silver Wheels Series".

For those who wished for a black version of the '57 Chevy, it is avalable now here:ECardmodels.com Shop

Enjoy them!

Now, there's an idea ripe for exploitation: Chuck Barris designs in 1/43 scale!

Happy Birthday to your father.....lucky gent he is!

I just googled "Bob Hirohata's Merc."
Amazing ... seems it's still alive.
Last shown at Kustomrama Motor Show, Sweden, in 2011.

I've always had a thing going for the Pharaoh's Cruiser in AmericanGraffiti.
But then again those early Mercs looked pretty damn cool straight of the line.

Nothin' but nothin' tops the '48 Hudson Comodore though. I was given a Dinky toy model of one in 1950. Fell in love with it then, an' I've still got it.

Doc Hudson Rules, right!, but I'm not so keen on his later chrome grill. It does suit the Pixar character though.

Johnny.

Thanks guys, I am glad you like them. The Nomads have always been popular. The '57 is mom's favorite car.
