1953 Cadillac

Here are pics of my '53 Cadillac prototypes. They were built a year ago. Again the scale is 1/43. The blue one is an Eldorado and the red one is a 62 series convertible. A new front bumper should be design one day and there are a few issues around the winshield. I also expect to complete the lineup with the Coupe DeVille and sedans just as for the Buick. Maybe this year...

Beautiful! The treatment of the complex details, like the grills, is brilliant.

Very nice. Am I noticing a preference for coupes?

Extremely well done, Cami. How are you selecting your colors? A quick google search came up the the color chips for the 1953 Cadillac here: http://http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/c...dillac&rows=50 You probably already use this site or something similar, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I heard about painteref.com, but so far I used that link:AutoColorLibrary Color Chip Selector. It is pretty much the same. I aslo use pictures of real cars because original charts are sometimes a little off because of the aging process. Finally, I make my own photoshop charts based on pictures and original charts to get the closest colors. Altough, colors on my pictures are not exactly as on the models.

I use contact cement and apply it on both surfaces to join with a brush. IT STICKS!!! If you make a mistake well... start all over again!

No preferences, just the first prototypes of a complete lineup to follow.
