Vintage Style Toy Truck

Hi guys,

I do not know what the future of this thing is, but it has allowed me to test a few ideas and somehow I felt inspired last week. It was design to mimic the Steelcraft, Metalcraft, Cor-Cor, Wyandotte and other brands toy trucks of the twenties.

That is a nice neat design. It has all sorts of possibilities as a desk truck. You could put signs on the doors or the panel of the stake side. It could be lots of fun.

Nice choice of colors too. Pretty neat little truck. What scale is it?

Yep I like it. I'll probably build it too if/when it's released.

But it's still not a Hudson Cami.

Dear Cami:
Internationally all tissue boxes are not the same size. Hopefully we can find a box that will fit from our local box store (That is my bad joke for at least a week).
I like the truck,
Miles

Thanks guys,

The truck was not designed at a specific scale and I realized that the tissue box would fit in the bed after it was designed. The wheelbase had to be under 10" so the chassis could fit on a letter size sheet. The rest of the truck was proportioned accordingly. The wheels have a 2.5" diameter, the fenders and bed are 5" wide and the whole thing is about 15 5/8" long x 5 1/4" high, so I figure the scale must be around 1/12. It was built from 41 parts printed on 9 sheets (Canon Matte Photo Paper 45lbs/170gr).

For many parts I had to print on both sides of the sheet and that is mostly why I do not know if I will release it. I could figure the alignement of the colored shapes to be printed on the back like the inner sides of the bed, body or fenders, but that may vary alot from a printer to another. Maybe inside parts could be printed on thin paper then glued to the back, but that would probably wet the parts and deform them. Plus, that is a lot of ink!!! Really I do not know what to do about it.

Still, it was fun to design and build (except for wheels....I hate wheels LOL) so here are the assembly pictures.
