1939 Dodge Airflow Truck
Here is my official entry in Ryan Short's design competition. I have already posted the picture of the actual truck I am modeling in the competition thread Design Competition Announcement and it is time now to have a thread for the entire project. I have been busy with other things in the last 2 months or so and I know I will not be able to enter a finished model, but I am pretty sure I can get a complete prototype by the end of september.
Here is an interesting link to the custom built Dodge Airflow truck's history; https://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/...es-heavy-duty/ Cami |

Here are the first pictures, the cab interior and substructure done in 1/43 scale. The chassis should be next.

Thanks guys!
I agree with you Don, the 1930's designs were graceful and hardly matched in elegance ever since. Cami |

I'll be looking forward to seeing this too! I've always been a huge fan of the Streamline Modern style. After all the B-17 came out of this design era. This truck will look great sitting next to a Stratoliner.
I must complement you on your designs Cami. It is amazing what you are able to do with such curvey vehicles.

Memory is the second thing to go, but a few years back, I saw a picture of an Airflow being used to haul a Tilt-A-Whirl on a west coast carnival, back when.
