For originality and craftsmanship at a small scale I nominate Paper Kosmanaut's Super Guppy and Saturn.

Doris, May 16, HMS Victory and I would also nominate her Sovereign of the Seas, but it is not quite finished yet. And I would nominate myself but nowhere's can I compete with her museum quality skills.

I second Silveroxide, and heartily recommend Doris' beautiful Victory.

Also, if I may make a suggestion, now would be a REALLY good time to make the POTW of the first week of a year the POT"Y" for the previous year. As in, this POTW, will actually be Photo of the Year for 2010.

Given the supreme quality and beauty of Doris' build, I think this would set an excellent precedent. I hope you agree.

I also nominate Doris. Her HMS Victory is of Museum Quality and not
matched by any other builds in the shipbuilding category. Another
model that is superior is Kookliks build on the train engine which is
not finished at this point but deserves all the accolades we can bestow
on him when it is completed......Ron

Thumbs up

Doris' HMS VICTORY!

There have been many wonderful builds posted here over the past year.
I thank you all for sharing them, and your techniques with us.
However, I believe that Doris' HMS VICTORY is in a league of its own.

I tend to agree

Without wanting to repeat everyone else I think that Doris' fine model would be a great start to POTW for 2011. It really shows so much talent it is very humbling indeed. I vote for Doris's HMS Victory.

Cheers
Jim
