two feet of snow!

I've printed out a big kit and I'm hunkered down with my xacto knife and elmer's glue! There is almost 2 feet of snow predicted here in Massachusetts and I'm in the middle of it. It has already started and it's snowing LIKE CRAZY. Anyway when it gets like this, I usually lose power for a couple days. If you don't hear from me, it's not because I'm dead, I'm just under a giant snow drift cutting out Nothing's XM8 pieces! (which btw is going to be my new build thread)

If you've got to be snowed it, sounds like a great way to handle it.

... it's reality that the nature strikes back. The climate changes - by us. We can change it - but do we want it?

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

When I read the title I held my breath and prepared myself to see a picture like this:

Fortunately, that wasn't the case.

Unfortunately, the description you make of the actual situation is really somber :(

I live in a country where the only snow we see is in the movies or in the peaks of very high mountains. I don't know what is like to have snow all over the streets and houses. So I can barely comprehend the reality. But I know it doesn't sound funny at all.

I hope you'll be OK, and that it won't get too cold.
All I can say is... Enjoy your modelling time!

I am now traveling just north of Boston ( Topsfield ). I did not bring anything to build! My travel plans are now delayed. But no fear, it is beautifull outside.

Drive safely or better yet, wait for it to pass.

Cheers

Isaac

Good luck with the snow We came to a grinding halt here in the UK - the snow is slowly on it's way out, but the very VERY low temperatures are giving us bad ice and worse... black ice to deal with. Take care all you guys over there. Enjoy your model building my friend

@Ruben: I took some pictures so you can see what it looks like here, believe me you're better off without this stuff. The picture you attached is awesome though!

@Isaac I am definitely planning on waiting this out. I have my fire roaring, and my paper model is all laid out ready for assembly. (aaahhhh, some quality modeling time)

Right now, it's at about 2-2 1/2 inches.

We're in the midst of a Blizzard here on Long Island, the snow having started early this morning and continuing until tomorrow. The wind and amount of snow falling increased right around noon and has not abated much since then. They predict anywhere from 15 to 20 inches, with possibile accummulations up to two feet; seems we already have 18 inches out there, but the wind is blowing fiercely and creating white outs and giant snow banks. In any event, travel is not recommended!

Might have to stay home from work tomorrow as it does not appear this storm will be over by rush hour. Currently the railroad is suspending service until tomorrow, and even then it will be on holiday schedules.

Hope all are safe and secure!

Cheers!
Jim
