Question Help identifying an airplane

Hello!

Today I bought a couple of old airplane magazines,
and inside one of them there was an old B/W photo
of an airplane I cannot identify.
(Actually, there's a lot of planes I can't call by their name)

This one in particular looks nice.
I like the fiery looks. Maybe is just the angle of the photo.

And I became interested in knowing which plane is it
because the photo is original. Glossy paper, 20X25 cms.

Here's a closeup.

It looks like the inside of an assembly line or factory,
because other planes and fuselages can be seen too.

From the insignia, and a seal in the back of the photo
I suppose this is a British aircraft.

"British Aircraft Corporation - Preston Division"

The signature of the photographer (I guess).

Is just curiosity. I don't know/care if the photo
has any historical or commercial value.

Just interested in knowing what airplane is.

Thanks a lot in advance for any info.

This plane is commonly known as Canberra, cf. eg. English Electric Canberra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am fairly certain it is some variation of the English Electric Canberra.

Wow! that was fast!

Thanks a lot for the info and the links!

It's interesting to learn new things
I'm surprised to learn that this airplane is rather old (1949).

It has nice lines.

Probably the camera pod, the Canberra was used a lot for recon missions

I don't have a scanner, but hope this photo of the photo is clear enough.
