Field too soft? Don't they have hoses? I live relatively in the "boonies" and have seen fireman run a mile of hose in minutes. That is really sad, on many levels.

Those pilots are really excellent though. To be able to land so quickly and in a "soft field" with a really "BIG" taildragger, no easy feat. I wish them and their foundation well. The picture tells the story. Plane looks pretty solid there. Thanks ARMORMAN !

The Pima Air Museum here recently built a replica P-51 Mustang, mostly from the ground up, along with a few spare parts. I doubt it's airworthy, (They don't keep airworthy aircraft), but how hard could it be to make it so?
