shops lose out in ireland by been rude if you ask me

was going buying a keyboard for a friend to ship to South africa and what happens the attitude in the shop was terriblle rude they so i went on the interweb and what do i find the same keyboard with a stand and earphones plus delivery to South Africa was cheaper than the shop for just the keyboard. i look at it this way I get out of carrying a seven kilo keyboard to a post office wrapping it up in some paper and all which would have cost a bit more. I think the lesson really if you find people in shops are rude buy on the interweb there is even someone selling these xanto blades you guys here mention in craft shop and he was looking for wait for it how much do you think Five euro haa haa don't make me laugh he wanted me to buy it and for a good price of 17.99 i turned him down and bought one on ebay just now for 4.75 cents in all so i saved 13 euro and a bit which will buy me something nice i suspect.

I had a really "consistent" English customer when I had my repair shop, this guy fixed everything. I came to my shop one morning with a pile of electronics all neatly packaged with a note saying he was moving back to the U.K. and none of the voltage matched, the problem was, all of this stuff ran off of wall converters that converted to 12 volts. He could have simply purchased these in England for far less than replacing the audio equipment, camcorders , keyboards and other stuff he had given me. I tried to contact him, but unfortunately, he had left the country and I missed him by a couple of days.

As a former business owner, I have always found that being nice to customers, just saying "Hi, how are you doing today", is really appreciated and I have been given incredible audio equipment when people were "upgrading". This was a very upscale town, so I ended up with a large collection oc Carver, Nakajima, L.L. Scott tube amplifiers, etc all for free! It pays to be nice, though it should be done because it is just the right thing to do. I have trouble with people just being mean, especially as a matter of course.

The retail experience in Australia pretty much parallels yours in Ireland. There have been two major chains of bookstores which have recently crashed and burned in Australia, customers found it was cheaper and easier to shop on line, especially since the $A is quite strong at the moment.

The astonishing thing about this is that the retailers, rather than lifting their game, have been moaning and whining at the Commonwealth government to tax online purchases. You've just got to love these clowns, they were happy with globalisation when it was to their advantage but don't like it when their customers shop globally.

Regards,

Charlie
