picklefork hydro in paper?
Has anyone ever seen a picklefork hydro (race boat) in paper - or anything in the same general category (hydro, tunnel, etc)?
I've looked around at the various resellers, links lists, and searched through the forum, but came up empty-handed. Thanks, Adam |

there have been a couple of punch out models, I know of one released by Shell.
I remember reading about one of the British record breakers, Bluebird, and there was a model of that one some time ago. I have not seen or heard of any others

bestpapermodels.com has a F1 racing boat in 1/35 scale. Not exactly the type you wanted, but its the only thing that I've come across. ABC did a lookalike of the Miss Atlas Van Lines hydro at some point, but I don't know when that was. Paper Models & Colouring Books - Racing boat F1

Adam, I have a hydro published by ABC, the Nautic Spurt. I bought it from Jimbo at Papermodelworld. Here's their URL - papermodelworld.net. To see the model, go to their site and click on the ABC logo (top item, left side), then click on the boat to go to their watercraft menu. You can click on the "see picture" button to see a picture of the real deal and the instructions show some of the construction below. Its about a foot or so long when complete. It shows he still has some for $3.50. Such a deal!
I did a partial build soon after I bought it. The were some serious misunderstandings by me of the instructions and I ended up with some misfits which I could not easily correct. I think I figured out my mistake, but being able to read the Polish instructions might help. Hope this helps. Good luck. |
