Some bizarre locomotives

If you are interested in odd technology, check out this link:

Loco Locomotives.

A lot of goofiness, but many of these things were built for some reason.
It is a fine collection, and I thank the proprietor of the site for all of his work.

There are some strange and interesting things here. It is amazing to me that we as a people have the ability, insight and drive to develop the things that we do. I appears that there is always the opportunity for improvement. Looks like a good sight to sit and read.

I think it is amazing that the ability to string together some cockamamie idea an make it sound good enough would have people immediately firing up the furnaces and pulling out the slide rules, Sometimes making 3 or 4 of the examples before finally giving up on them. If some third world countries had to go through what the "hit and miss" methods of the first world, well. I spent a couple of hours on that site and undoubtedly will spend a few more, just could not help chuckle. I thought some of the mono-rail trains were truly innovative though. GREAT SITE!!

A great site - thanks for sharing.

My favorites the non-round wheel train.
