Why you don't want to screw around with an Idahoan

Here are a few pics of the playground equipment at the local park. And this is just a popgun compared with the other towns around here. The kids in Rigby have a Sherman tank on their park playground. I keep telling myself I'll take my camera over there for a photoshoot...someday I'll actually do it.

More Stuff from the I Don't Know State...,

Hey Darwin,

Any of the old battlewagon ordnance testing stuff still left out in the dessert? That's where Rickover placed the nuclear power plant prototypes.

I remember the Springfield Arsenal building extant in Pocatello before everything grew up...,

Gil, not much left out there but some of the old ammo bunkers. One of the big cleanup efforts has been locating and disposing of 'dud' shells. The old nuke prototypes still exist...I spent my time in hell at S1W. Every so often there is talk about turning S1W into a national monument. From what I was told, about the only thing done during the decomissioning was removal of fuel from the reactor...all else is still just as it was.

Even Dundas Va which is pretty much a tiny general store and a post office has a tank. Looks like a Stuart to me.

Burley, ID has a T33 trainer and a Huey
T33 was installed in a park two days before one crashed trying to takeoff from the local airport. 1960s

My #1 grandson had a 4/12 spud cannon....at least, he had it right up to the time he put a hole through the side of the garden shed.
