My name was my computername when I worked for the museum. The picture is the only decent picture ever taken from my looks. The hat is used for to take it off for many of the forum members here. Together with a deep bow.

Viator is a Pilgrim in latin.

One of my oldest hobbies is a historical reenactment and my very first suit of medieval clothes was a 14th century pilgrim heading to Compostela, so I nicknamed myself as "Viator" - and as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

I belong to the boring set.

My name is simply my first name and the first two letters of my surname. Double-barrelled, hence the hyphen.

My avatar is of a locomotive I was on - a photo taken by me of it going through a set of gates. The light was good so I got off and took the pic and then got back on again.

Mine's simple it's 'cos (puts on deep, scary voice) "I'm Batman!" . The B-man is one of my favourite comic book heroes, he's just a guy, no superpowers. An' the avatar is my 'Batman's Robin' model - much to Airdave's sadness at what I did with 2 of his Koolwheelz.

My nick here is both innovative and not: it comes from the first letters of my first and surname - this is why it is quite ordinary. But there is some pun in its reading: kriszmesz as close to Christmas. By the way I was born on Dec 24th..... , of course in 1971. (in Hungarian sound "s" is written as "sz"). So it goes...

And that's me in the avatar too, with the bow of the SD-14.

My nickname and avatar image pick is a bit convoluted. A Snark is firstly a Louis Carroll character from "The Hunting of the Snark" about two creatures one that was highly dangerous (boojum) and one that was not (Snark) that you cant tell apart till its to late. The Snark was also an early Air Force Missile that was more or less a pilotless air plane which also strangely enough had a more dangerous follow on named Boojum.
While going through some Snark launch photos I found one with some nose art that that was someone's interpretation of what a Snark looked like, a combination of a snake and a shark. SN from SNake and ARK from ShARK. Serpent being another name for snake you get the pictured creature body of a serpent with the head tail and fins of a Shark.

Just discovered this interesting thread.

Well, for me, nothing much to hide. The name is simply my full name. Zwaan is Dutch for Swan. There was a time that friends called me "Brains" (everything is relative - I simply had the highest level of education amongst us) but that would be a rather boisterous way of introducing oneself.... I never use it anymore.

The avatar is from a model I built in 2012, a scale 1:6 US 101st Airborne sergeant. A fascinating model to build, from a Korean publisher. There is a certain similarity between his face and mine when I was younger .

The real me? Alright then, taken in the cockpit of a Diamond D40-D, en route to Rotterdam-The Hague Airport, actually taken last Friday September 3rd.

Cheers,
Erik
