User name = first initial and last name. Avatar = last model I completed back when I had a working camera. And I use my real name in my signature to make me think twice about posting something stupid.

Comes from my old personalized license plate - Dan's LS1, designating the LS1 engine in my GTO. Started using it on the goat forums and just kept it up.
Don't remember what my avatar even is anymore.

The nickname comes from skt (Stamkot, a rare family name)
The Avatar pictures a lightweight railcar, built in large numbers in Wismar, Germany in the Thirties.
For each direction this one has Ford-BB engines. This particular one came from a small private railroad in Germany, the Delmenhorst-Harpstedter Eisenbahn, and was saved by my dad in the Sixties. Nowadays she is being restored at a Museum Railway situated in the Eastern part of the Netherlands, the "Museum Buurtspoorweg", which was founded by my dad and his friends during the Sixties,

Gert Stamkot
