Paper Model Hijacks Wood Carving Show

Yesterday I hijacked a wood carving convention with my titan. I went in and started talking to one of the people displaying some beautiful inlay work which she was also selling. As we talked, she said she wanted to see what I was working on. So I went to the car and brought it in. All the people displaying their craft (some of which was just stunning) stopped to see the paper monstrosity.

I can only imagine their expressions as every persons turned their head simultaneously.

Do you have pictures of said event?

Excellent build by the way, I especially love the rivet/detail work that spans the
limbs of the mech. Great paint scheme as well - though my tastes lean
towards IG or Ultramarine colors .

I had not gone there with the intention of showing it. It just so happens that the Titan rides in my car because I don't have a place to store it (yet).

I didn't bring a camera. Sorry.

My father, a cabinetmaker, said it this way:

"Craftsmen know Craft.
"Public, on the other hand, may never quite Get the concept.
"This is why Craftsmen often can't get the money their work is worth (and often never ask, as Craftsmen also famously take their talent for granted), and--
"--And why Craftsmen often trade among themselves for no money at all: because it's easier to deal with people who do Get it, than those others."

Why not take a paper model at a wood carving show, Wood is just unprocessed paper...
