Quick poem that I really liked....
Gem
The gem that sparkles and shines under stinging fury, stress, and hate. Is inside all of us no matter how far deep. Rip away the hate and you will find a part of you that you never knew was glowing all along in the dark of hate. Never allow hate and stress to become more important than your gem, because your gem is always in you, with you, besides you. Everyone has a gem.

Very neatly expressed, Chris.
I can see easily why you like the poem. Kind and Respectful Regards Chris my friend, Uyraell.

I wrote this when I was 13:
Life is like a Banana As the Monkey of Misfortune peels away all hope We are left open to rot. Of course, when I got older, I realized we do not rot. We are eaten, churned, digested, and pooped out. |

You'll tempt me to add a poem of my own.
I'm just not certain folk on this forum would be ready for one, in either of my usual themes. Kind and Respectful Regards my friends, Uyraell.

And I appreciate it. Thanks Chris.
There was another interesting poem behind the link you provided and as a teaser here's couple of verses: [...] The most dangerous thing of all is something we can’t speak. For if we could, we still not should, they’re too strong and us too weak. There is nothing we can do to stop them, if there was we’d surely know. But if we could, we still not should, they come up but do not show. [...] BR Tappi |

Chris, would it be alright if I did post a poem of mine?
I'd choose a Vampyric. I don't use swearing or such in my verses. I'm just unsure how folk would receive the poems I write. Kind and Respectful Regards Chris my friend, Uyraell.

I always liked this one:
Oh the vieled messages of those who silently assail They hide behind the words of an innocents wail Hidden words that hit and run, describe a hearts ultimate fail in the light of the Sun all truth will stand and that which does not will turn to sand.... |
