Question Duplication

Yesterday when this site was down, I ventured to the other English language site. I noted ( at least on the aviation side ) the same people posting what appeared to be duplicate threads, building logs and photos. So I was wondering why? I know that for a build article I spend time putting things together and uploading pictures. So since the forum members are practically the same, why go thru all the double effort?

I am not talking about other language forums since they cater to mostly members that understand and can post in that language

Opinions?

Isaac

I know I sometimes double post to here and the FG forums. I mostly do it because I got started on the FG forums long before I did here. Plus, I like to help keep that page going strong since most of my builds are FG models.

I post here because there are a lot of folks that are not on the FG forums, and I like to get suggestions from folks.

Different audiences I would assume. I mean, some members here, are different over there, and some over there, are different than those members and so on and so forth. Not only that, perhaps some members on any forum find themselves only on said forum.

I personally do "double dip", but I post my work on SMA (largely plastic oriented community), to increase exposure to paper models - but to also expose myself to the other side of modeling - one I've neglected for so long! Modelers are modelers are modelers after all!

Some people from Zealot doesn't come here and viceversa. If a construction is shared in only one site some people will miss it. The same happens in some of the Spanish-language forums, people in the Argentinean forum are not part (or don't check) the Spanish or the Mexican forum.
