BB-57 USS South Dakota
Here is an interesting tid bit on BB-57, Battleship South Dakota. It is a little beyond my feeble design skills. Does anyone know of a model out there of this great ship?

There is an old Halenski kit of the South Dakota. I don't know of any that are currently in print.

Interesting video...James Hornfischer's book Neptune's Inferno paints a different picture of South Dakota's performance at Guadalcanal. Definitely worth a read if you are interested in naval warfare!

Yes, excellent book. I've read Neptune's Inferno. Hornfischer is really a very entertaining writer....
